It's food day!... again?

Yes, I love eating.. that's why I'm so fat, okay. I know you like eating too, so I'll share my eating "experience" with you 'kay. Don't go! Oh come on! I know you wanna know what I ate yesterday!

Here I go..! Secure your seat belts!

Yesterday, 16/4/2011, Saturday, I went out with ah wen & mm. I know you don't know them. It doesn't matter. The food are the main characters. We went to The Manhattan Fish Market @ plaza singapura for lunch. I know you just wanna see pictures of food! So let's just get down to it!

The drinks that we ordered are.. errr.. Captain Quencher & Tropical Breeze~! What a name, huh! I drank the Captain Quencher and thought it was.. normal. Nothing Special. It wasn't that bad, but I'd rather have ice lemon tea or something. As for the tropical breeze.. I don't know..

(On the left, Manhattan Fish & Chips (dory), on the right, Chef's Favorite Grilled Catch (which is also dory, lol))
I had the one on the right. Firstly, I was extremely disappointed that that was all. One piece of dory + Garlic Herb rice. You mean, I pay $11++ for this? Alright, I should have expected that... it was stated in the menu.. but I'm still disappointed by the lack of visual presentation (Apparently they were more concern about the presentation of the drink than the food... and if you're wondering why I said this, of course, there was a reason. But I'm lazy to tell.. so.. live with it.). The color of the food doesn't excite me in any way.. but hold on a minute! It was delicious. The dory was grilled to just the way I liked it to be. It wasn't salty, the sauce was great, and the texture of the fish was awesome. The rice was sooooooo yummy! The taste of the garlic and herb in the rice wasn't very overwhelming. It had a really nice fragrant and leaves you wanting more! Delicious! Overall, the portion was filling, the food was delicious, but the price is a little steep for poor students like you and me to afford.

IDK ABOUT HOW THE FISH AND CHIPS TASTED! STOP PROBING. (Well.. I tried the fries and thought it was... normal.) LET'S MOVE ON.

From plaza singapura, we walked down to bugis. It was a short walk.. HOULY SH- I JUST CHECKED GOOGLE MAP. IT WAS AN 18 MINS WALK. I guess time flies when you're having fun with your friends...? :o

WELL ANYWAYSZXZ, we were tired (from the walk) and wanted to resttttttttt. Initially, we wanted to go to TCC to just chill and drink something there, but it was so packed. Damn! But I'm glad I didn't wait for a seat @ TCC.... because if we waited, we wouldn't have found a new place to chill out!

CHEEKY CHOCOLATES @ ILLUMA LEVEL 4.
Here's their official website if you're interested!

The atmosphere there, of course, isn't as good as TCC, but it was still cosy (well it had couches), and the level of service was on par with TCC. There wasn't much people, and you can just sit there for hours (I think..) & nobody would chase you away. NOW FOR THE FOOD. MUAHAHAHHA.
T-this is the hot chocolate thingy.. idk, I didn't drink this. I think it tasted great, since ah wen & mm didn't complain much!
Mine was the.. mint..hot chocolate or something. I can't remember, LOL. Okay sadded. Whatever. And their website is still under construction so I can't check. It was minty and sweet. Very refreshing. I kind of like it! The thing on top is the whipped cream.. right? It tasted great (Fattening, idc, since I'm already fat)! It wasn't thick and creamy.. you know? Aiya, you won't know lah, unless you try it. In any case, I finished everything. FYI, I still prefer the drinks @ TCC!

This was the all day breakfast (I think) we ordered & shared. It had salad.. bacon.. bread.. baked beans.. eggs (your choice.. scrambled, pouched, sunny side up.) Okay, everything tasted normal. Nothing special. But still, I will patronize this place again, because.. there's not a lot of people, the service is good, and it's comfy.
